Agile may have entered your organization’s vocabulary, but have the mindsets evolved.
It is all too common to hear Agile this or Agile that. A prefix alone will not solve the systemic challenges that practitioners face in the real world.
Humor me, and try to fill in the blanks here:
“Agile will fail at my company because _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _“
Agile has been failing at various companies for more than a decade now, but it is still going strong. Agile must be delivering so much value that despite repeated failures organizations still attempt to transform.
Agile practitioners are a resilient bunch, and through failures big and small they evolve agile to fit the challenges in the world of work today. We don’t hear from them as often because they are busy transforming the way their organizations shape up to make the world a little better.
We are honored to host friends of Evolve Agility, as panelists in a game show setting, to have a dialogue on challenging situations/case-studies submitted to us.
Episode 1: Agile within waterfall
In this episode, our panelists bring refreshing perspectives and build upon each others suggestions to make key recommendations. Recording our first episode was a hoot!
I’d like you to trust me on this, but hey, I’d rather you decide for yourself
Here is the link to Sprint capacity calculator 2.0 that Dave has developed to know how much capacity should be set aside for unplanned work.
Heartfelt thanks to our panelists: Dave Prior, Jeff Davis, and Zaheer Ali
